ABOUT

Blending beauty and functionality

But when I'm not busy helping make software sound more human, I'm reading about the latest UX design trends, hiking, playing video games, or watching K-dramas. I speak Korean lousy and Spanish less lousy.

THE BEGINNING

How I got started in user research

During my undergrad studies in communication and media studies, my interest in user research developed while taking various courses in communication research methods, analysis, and theory. After landing a role as a UX Writer, I honed my skills in user-centric design, style guides, and generating creative solutions to write concisely across multiple audiences.

I've now worked across different fields such as software development, HVAC and industrial design.

What I've been working on

I've recently completed a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction.

When time allows, I enjoy volunteering on projects for local companies within the community and organizations across the globe using resources from uxrescue.org. My goal is to help guide the beginning stages of the development process while continuing to sharpen my skills.

I've also grown interested in participating in my very first hackathon to leverage my strengths and build relationships through cross-team collaboration.

What I'm curious about

I'm curious about bridging people, processes, and technology together. Streamlining processes, building trust, and achieving the balance between both business and user needs. I want to focus on how to leverage a product's data to deliver a better experience to users.

I am also eager to work with artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and chatbots. As I look forward to seeing its continued growth.
